Wedding at Belmond Hotel Timeo in Taormina and Galia Lahav

MAURA&JERRY
When Maura and Jerry asked me from Canada if I was willing to document their destination wedding at Belmont Grand Hotel Timeo in Taormina I was beyond thrilled. Being so in love with Italy, this was for them a heartfelt and natural decision. It was an honor to be their wedding photographer in Sicily.
The great cinema and its of all times passed through its elegant rooms.
The first hotel in Taormina, built on terraces of perfumed gardens full of every type of flower, with a view that enchants the heart of the Mediterranean and the Etna Volcano. The preparation of the bride and groom and their loved ones from Canada took place in the luxurious rooms of the hotel. The talented Make Up Artist Dalila La Colla did an amazing bridal make-up, enhancing Maura’s wonderful and deep eyes. Impossible not to notice the resemblance to Amy Winehouse. Maura chose as her wedding attire a dress with a plunging neckline, studded with small gems by Tel Aviv fashion designer Galia Lahav. It seemed a real diva.
“A dreamy combination of beaded lace and a light blush palette, this full fitting mermaid dress offers a low back and a dramatic wing with accentuated shoulders.” Her long, thick raven hair framed her features.
Instead of an outfit change, she opted for a shoes change with a pair of iconic Manolo Blahnik and beautiful Sophia Webster Shoes #wifeyforlife
Forbidden dream of all women, how can you not think to Sex and The City?
The earrings were by Jennifer Behr, New York.
Maura’s sister gave the newlyweds a precious Christmas Bauble created in Caltagirone ceramic, blue in color to honor tradition. “Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something blue. And a silver sixpence in your shoe”.
The Wedding Planner of the Grand Hotel Timeo and her assistants flawlessly organized a fairytale wedding on the hotel terrace overlooking the ancient Greek Theater of Taormina, built in the third century BC, an historical marvel. The sun mimed its descent on the breathtaking view of the bay of Taormina. A floral wedding arch dominated the scene with the same flowers as the bridal bouquet. The colors were bright and lively following the trend of the moment. Just looking at them brought joy! An incredible and precious work by Sebastian Flowers. The bride’s stepmother held a heartfelt speech that has melted the hearts of the relatives. So at sunset the newlyweds exchanged two Cartier Wedding Rings.
This wedding, filled with so much romance will certainly remain close to my heart for many years to come.
